Adrian Hayes longbows are for those looking for a high performance longbow with the tradition and beauty to match. With many traditional bowyers producing a full range of classic English Longbows it takes something special to set a bow apart. Our Longbows combine the tradition and heritage of England's glorious past, with modern bow making methods to produce a bow which delivers exceptional performance from the best natural materials. 

We offer a fully custom bow making service, matched to your exact requirements, whether it be a self bow or laminated we listen to your individual requirements to produce a bow which will not match, but exceed your expectations. We produce bows to any length which will get the best from whichever style you wish to shoot. Our bows are given a highly polished and hard glaze which gives an exceptional finish which is both stylish and highly protective. Every bow is adorned with high quality black horn nocks, which we have selected to be both hard wearing and practical. The sleek lines of the horn nocks have a dual function to provide a firm seat for the use of a stringer to make sure the bow is treated with the care and respect in needs, without the need for a second groove, although we can provide additional grooves if required. The bow is set off with a leather or braid handle so that it is as comfortable shoot as it is one eye. Finally we provide a double looped Flemish fast flight string to further enhance the bows exceptional performance. All our bows can be shot either left or right handed and can be supplied with a horn or mother of pearl arrow pass to give an extra level of protection.

While we take ever effort to ensure all the bows that leave the workshop are finished to our demanding specification, we won't let the bow go until we are happy it is a bow worthy of our name and one that we would be proud to shoot ourselves. Our other passion is to produce a bow which shoots with exceptional performance. Be it the basic Lemonwood and Bamboo bow, the laminated Lemonwood, Purple heart and Bamboo or the top end, Ipe, Lemonwood and Bamboo high performance bow, a fast, smooth and shock free shooting experience is our aim. We use Bamboo in all of our stock bows as we consider that this offers the most consistent cast, however we are happy to make bows using woods of your choice. 

In addition to our range of performance laminate bows we also offer deluxe which marry the performance of Bamboo with either Osage Orange or Snake Wood, these bows offer a wonderful shooting experience with the luxury and beauty of something truly special, which is sure to turn heads. We can also produce stunning self bows in Yew, Osage or your choice of woods. 

We are always happy to discuss your needs in person, however from many years of building, testing and shooting in competition we consider that Ipe, Lemonwood and Bamboo offer the best combination of laminations which offer a bow which is smooth, feels light at fully draw and produces an excellent cast. Each bow is individual and we make sure that our blend of experience, patience and a keen eye for detail is placed in to each and every one.
